Quantifier Based Aggregation in LSP Suitability Map Construction

چکیده

LSP suitability maps support geographic decision making by providing an efficient framework for evaluating multiple attributes, aggregating the evaluation results, and creating a map that graphically represents the overall suitability of locations for a given purpose. In this paper, we consider elementary LSP suitability map criteria for evaluating a distribution of points of interests (POIs) in a geographical area. More specifically, we study soft computing techniques for the specification and evaluation of criteria in cases where users want to express their preferences regarding the absolute or relative number of POIs that must satisfy the criterion. For that purpose, extended aggregation techniques, based on the use of an absolute or relative quantifier are presented and compared to existing approaches.
